Tuesday pub run from The Bell – road closure on Kelvedon High Street

As well as Ewells Bridge closure, we also have a road closure on Kelvedon High Street throwing another tester at us for our run from The Bell on Tuesday night.

The High Street is closed roughly between a section from The Coop/Boots to the old Barclays/Masonic Hall by the junction with Easterford Road – you should be able to see the closure if accessing Maps.

Best allow a little extra time so’s not to miss the Vice Chairman’s announcements and the start of our run.

Alternative routes and diversions are not extensively signed, but the closure can be skirted round via:

Easterford Road/Riverside Way/St Mary’s Rd
or
Church Street (opposite The Angel)/Thorne Rd/New Rd.

If driving from Heybridge and Maldon area, best route probably via Tiptree & Inworth thus bypassing Kelvedon.

If approaching from Silver End direction and road into Kelvedon, best take 1st left Thorne Rd after level crossing.
