Thursday’s Session – Post some impressive Strava times!!

A very popular session for no other reason than if you change the title to Hills on Strava it will impress your followers when they see your times!
We will meet at the Leisure Centre at 7.30 for a 7.40 departure to Armond Road where we will split into groups for drills along Chelmer Road. For those that wish to run straight there please meet us at the normal place at the junction with Cromwell Way close to the Post Box.
The route will consist of two downward effort stretches of Chelmer Road and Armond Road with a slow jog up Cromwell Way your recovery. Distance for each 350 and 400 metres.
The session will concentrate on leg speed and down hill technique which should be relaxed shoulders, leaning slightly forward with a longer stride and will last for 30 minutes.
We will then take a slow jog back to the Leisure Centre for static stretches upstairs.
The snow may have gone but its still cold so please bring plenty of kit which you can leave in my car. Reflector bibs are also a must please. If you wish to bring a drink (non alcoholic please) I will take these to the start.
As with all our sessions this is suitable for all and if you have never been to a Thursday Structured Session this is a nice one to start with!!
