Thursday’s 5k

Our Thursday session this week is a 5k time trial.

No prizes or trophies for this 5k but with many not in race action for some weeks it’s a good opportunity for as pacy a blast as you want and see where you are before the holidays- and we’ll have another one in January so you can see where you’re at after the festive season!

Meet please at Witham Leisure Centre 1930 and we’ll head off by 1945 for our warm up jog to the regular winter 5k circuit we use around Freebournes Rd/Colchester Road/The Grove.

For any headed directly to the start area, we’ll aim to meet at the junction of Perry Rd/Freebournes Rd around 1955 where we’ll organise some dynamic stretches, drills and strides then we’ll just need to make sure we’ve got everyone’s names down for timing and get you started en masse a little after 2000.

Weather looks like being a little warmer than some of our recent runs but it you have layers to take off before and put on after or just drinks we’ll have the usual support vehicles for you to leave these in.

Many thanks to everyone who’s been in touch with Graham to let him know they can help out, we wouldn’t be able to put these winter events on without you so thanks from all of us.
