Sudbury Sprint Triathlon
18 June 2018 - By James Montgomery
On Sunday, Rob Grimwood took part in the TRISudbury SPRINT DISTANCE Triathlon. This was billed as a “Sprint” distnace event of a 400m Swim, 21.5km Bike and finishing with a 5km Run, however, I had it on good authority that the actual distances were a 250 swim, 23kms bike and a 5k run.
Official results are impossible to find, so I’ve taken the liberty of using Rob’s Strava times, however, a solid outdoor pool swim was followed by a rapid change in T1 and out on to the undulating 1-lap bike course around the Suffolk/Essex Border and taking in Bures. An equally rapid change in T2 and out on to the 5k mainly trail run route.
Sounds as though the buike course was enjoyable and the marshalls were excellent.
Well done Rob!

Thanks for posting JM!
It actually WAS a 400m swim! (His lovely wife made a bit of a calculation error!)
Well done Rob, fab!
I’ve found the link to the results, probably more by luck than anything else
