Roll up, sign up & renew – Club Subscriptions for 2017-18
1 March 2017 - By Emma Austin
Hi all with mighty big shoes to fill from my predecessor I am delighted to inform you that it’s the time to remind you that subscriptions are now due for renewal.
Setting a precedent the Chairman, Treasurer, Webmaster and Male Welfare Officer have already renewed so come on let’s make this year’s membership the biggest yet!
Following the club AGM on Monday evening there has been an increase to the adult and family memberships (the first increase in 10 years) let’s be honest £25.00 is an absolute bargain with access to various structured training sessions, expert coaching advice on all types of running relating subjects, personalised marathon training plans and a fabulous club atmosphere which is motivating, friendly and encouraging to name but a few!!
All subs are due to be paid by 31st March 2017 (any renewals after this date will incur an automatic £5.00 increase so get in quickly to reap the benefits). Please be aware that any member wishing to enter the Club ballot for next year’s Virgin London Marathon your subs need to be paid in full by the 31st March.
The costs are set out below and you are reminded that all payments are via our website:
• Individual membership – £25.00
• Family membership – £40.00
• Student, OAP’s (over 65) and Juniors – £5.00
• None training – £10.00
Now to the interesting part (what there’s more I hear you say?!) everyone who renews their subs also has the option to apply for an England Athletics Race Licence. For those of you that may be considering applying for this if you haven’t done so before there are great perks for both you as an individual and the Club. These include discounted race entry as well as deciding the number of Club Ballot places issued to us for the Virgin London Marathon.
Last year we were only one member short of being allocated 2 London Marathon ballot places which gives members the opportunity to run a marathon for either the first time or run without the hassle of raising money for charity. So my plea is to consider if this is something you’d benefit from and it is worth the £14.00 (a £1 price increase from last year).
Please don’t forget to state your EA number when completing your online membership form and include the £14.00 to your payment e.g if you are paying for an individual membership and wish to apply for an EA licence your total payment would be £39.00.
How to renew:
To renew you membership, login to your account. This will take you to the member’s area where you will see a ‘renew your membership’ button. It is essential that you should review your details and amend accordingly especially any medical conditions etc. You can then make your payment via the secure server.
If you cannot remember your password you can reset them via the link on the webpage using the email address you registered with.
A note for parent(s) of junior members:
If you have more than one junior member at the club and they aren’t part of your family then a separate junior application form must be completed with a different email for each junior.
If you have any problems with your application then please do not hesitate to contact myself of our guru webmaster James Crisp via the contact page.
I look forward to seeing an influx of renewals and don’t make me come and find you at the end of March so renew now!
