Dragon’s Back
This one could do with a whole article of it own, but basically Clarice Sanderson took on this monster (literally) ultra across the mountains of Wales. The race takes place over 6 days, and covers 236 miles and 57,000ft of climbing (over twice the height of Mount Everest, albeit with slightly more sheep). I don’t have all the details to hand, so hopefully we can convince Clarice to give us a more thorough summary when she’s recovered, but I’ve included her times for each stage below. Incredible effort, across extremely tough terrain. As the organisers themselves state “This is not a trail race”. Massive kudos.
