Pub runs – The Willows

Well that was it folks. The last of the summer pub runs for this year. Slightly cooler conditions saw yet another great turnout for the run from The Willows with 32 staying on for food. Not only the last summer pub run this year but perhaps the last from this venue – ever! Sadly licencees Daryn and Emma are moving on and it remains to be seen whether The Willows survives as a traditional pub.

It’s not all bad news however. Next Tuesday, as the chairman has already indicated, sees the first of the ‘winter’ pub runs from The Angel in Kelvedon where you can expect a bit of ‘off road’ to start with and certainly dark conditions to finish so the hi-viz will be a must! After that it is back to the football club for eight months although I expect a few more pub runs will arranged along with some social activities so enjoy your winter running.
