Pub runs – The Chequers – Come on England!

I am reliably informed by my brother Reg (who sometimes masquerades under the pseudonym Colsy) that there were 18/20 dining at The Chequers last Tuesday. It had been another hot day which led to a mighty dose of hay fever for me so Tilly and I were unfortunately absent.

Next Tuesday is also predicted to be hot which, for some, may be cause for a double dose of the ‘sweats’. The more astute among you will have noticed that there is a little football competition going on with England due to play Columbia that evening (KO 7pm). For some the excitement may be too much and keep them housebound but, hopefully, it will not adversely affect the attendance at our run from The Compasses in Gt Totham (CM9 8BZ).

If you really want to watch the match (as I do!) there will be a television in the bar so you could still come along for a beer and/or a meal but not run or you could run b****y fast and watch the second half!
