Pub runs – The Ship, Heybridge Basin
6 July 2016 - By Stewart Waller
If you were not running then it was great sunny evening for a spot of bird watching on the mud flats at Heybridge. Ok, so I wasn’t running but it was also a great evening for a run along the seawall although I was a bit surprised by no one finishing along the canal towpath. I was also surprised that fewer than usual (20) stayed for food especially as the pub and catering was much improved compared to our previous visits. As suggested before, however, injuries, holidays, work and other commitments may have contributed to this.
Hopefully numbers will pick up next week when we run from The Six Bells at Boreham which sees an all too soon return visit to North Hill although there is a very pleasant shorter and flatter route. No excuses either for some of our ‘southern’ members, who we have not seen for a while, to put in an appearance.
See you there,
Stew.
