NESS XC Race 3 – Results
10 December 2023 - By Jodee Mayer
The black and gold army flooded Hilly Fields for the XC today – and we managed to eat our Christmas themed cake (courtesy of Angela R, Anita, Dan G, Kerry, and Liz S) and escape before the rain added to the actual flooded fields!
Thanks to DJ, Colesy, and Kerry for coming to support and help score, and our token collector extraordinaire and mini-pud Mia for all of your help!
With 35 finishers, we didn’t manage the largest field this week – and I would love to annoy Clive by pushing that over 40 again for the last race(s) of the season – help a gal out will ya?!

Another cracking week for WRC, with our men coming home in 2nd and our women in 4th – meaning we finished 3rd overall again!
We are now in 3rd position overall! From 5th to 4th to 3rd! Whilst we don’t think we can catch Colchester or Ipswich, let’s try and widen the gap between us and Springfield!
This week’s special mention to our Captain Annalise who ran 12 miles yesterday, realised she might be a WRC scorer today, and put in a hell of a run to finish as our 3rd scorer!

The intraclub champs
There were many no-shows today – one team only had half of their runners out and the penalties have again played their part. The Wall-Es have had an enforced retiree, and the amended tables are below – it is tight at the top and there is still everything to play for!
