JR 5k Series Final Race & Handicap

6 July 2016 - By James Kennerley

So with the 3rd race tomorrow and the 4th and final race held under a handicap system following quick on its heels next week (14th July) I thought I’d recap what is up for grabs in terms of awards.

Awards will be given to the first Male and first Female to cross the line on the final race. Start times for each individual runner will be staggered based on previous results & performance as set by the Handicap Committee with the theory being all runners should cross the line at the same time irrespective of ability. Bribes welcome. This race is marshal heavy for obvious reasons so any volunteers greatly welcome.

Awards will also be given for the series winner in both the Male and Female categories, calculated on a function of their overall time and improvement over the series. You will need to have run 3 of the 4 races to be eligible for this award. In addition, the Male and Female winners of the series will also be awarded with a special prize from this year’s series sponsors, Crisp Design, in the form of a slap up two course meal from the runner’s menu at the Angel after the final race.

Crisp Design - logo design, website design, brochure design

Established in 2005, Crisp Design have done a myriad of design work for the club, including the fantastic website refurbishment, gazebo design, and BD5 & MD5 T-Shirt and leaflets designs. They do all kinds of marketing communications including websites, logos, brochures, and exhibition graphics – details can be found at www.crisp-design.co.uk.

See you at the last two races!

James.
