Halstead and Essex Marathon

It must be an age thing. It was surely only a couple of months ago that we were helping out at the Halstead marathon wasn’t it? Wrong! Way back last May in fact and so we are now asking for volunteers to man and woman our traditional water station at this years event on Sunday 7th May.

Anyone who has helped out in the past will confirm that it is a ‘fun day’.

We always have a good time. It also gives us the opportunity to assist our friends at Halstead Road Runners and to support our fellow club members who may be taking part (if you are considering entering a marathon I can confirm that, whilst the course is undulating,Halstead is fast and consistently rated as one of the top marathons in the country so give it a go).

Further details later but if you can help out then please let me know at a Tuesday club night and as an enticement there are club championship points in it for you. Don’t all rush!
