Essex Road Relays – Results

What a superb day at the Essex Road Relays – the wind was probably the worst we have had at the track, and the the highlight of the day was obviously the boot sale closing early resulting in Jodee’s car getting locked in the car park, but other than that our runners put in superb performances, with previous years’ times being beaten and 3 mile times so quick that if there had been an extra .11 there would have definitely been some PBs falling.

Special mentions to Wally and his 18 mile warm up, Giles and his 20 mile warm up (and then 1 mile additional warm up), and Harry who ran the Shropshire Way 80k (yes, EIGHTY KILOMETERS) the day before, and turned up to the track for a 3 mile recovery run.

Huge thanks to our Secretary Angela, who turned out to support all day and to the runners who came before and stayed after their own races to cheer the black and gold around the track in our usual style right to the end.

Running orders have been declared today and so named results aren’t available yet, but I have pieced them together and the results are below:
