Essex Road Relays – 10th April 2022

The Essex Road Relay Championships will take place on 10th April 2022 at the Northern Gateway Sports Park, Colchester.  This year they are hosted by Colchester Harriers.

The Championships include races for Senior Women and Men and V40, V50 and V60 Women and Men (as well as junior races held before this).  The senior event starts at 12pm.

The relays are approximately 5k per leg and teams consist of 3 runners, other than Senior Men who run in teams of 4.

This event is open to all members, but you must wear club colours.  To be eligible to win county medals, you must have an EA licence and be ‘Essex qualified’ (meaning that you were either born in Essex, or have been an Essex resident for at least 9 months).

It is possible to enter a team that are not Essex qualified or don’t hold EA licences, but they will not be eligible to win any medals on the day.  We will only do this if we have enough entrants to make up a team.

We have to register our teams with the organisers by 3rd April, so please sign up by 27th March to give us time to organise teams etc.
