Cross Country Training – Discovery Centre 22nd/29th October ?
14 October 2016 - By Martyn Byford
For those that wish to acclimatise to cross country I am happy to put on a couple of sessions at the Discovery Centre on the above dates starting at 9.15 ( to avoid Park Run) if there is a demand.
I have in mind some hill work plus some field efforts with the aim of getting use to running on the undulating terrain at your intended xc speed.
The session, following a few drills, will be around 40 minutes after which those that wish can have a coffee in Costas (In Tesco) but no marmite!
Parking at Tesco as I would prefer to meet at the kissing gate entrance directly behind the pedestrian crossing therefore having access to the field and keeping away from Park Run. We can use the distance to both field and hill areas as warm up.
Can I ask someone (James/Scott please) to set up some thing on our Facebook so those interested can give me an idea of likely numbers. I just don’t want to be stood in the middle of the park by myself!
Like track sessions this will be suitable for everyone.
Please bring some warm clothes and some liquid refreshment which I will look after during the session.
Martyn
