Additional Virgin London Marathon place

So, in addition to the two VLM Marathon 2018 places we have from EA/UKA by virtue of our affiliation and current licensed membership levels, we have also secured an additional third place working with a well-known local charity partner, Helen Rollason Cancer Charity, who we have worked with and supported previously. To allocate this place, we will still apply the “Overriding Qualification Criteria” set out in the club constitution. However there will be some flexibility considered to the “Additional Criteria”.

 

As part of our arrangement, any applicant for this place will be expected to raise £600 towards this place/charity – very reasonable in comparison to normal charity places and of course it is for a very worthy cause.

 

To help us consider the applications for this place, we would ask you to indicate what plans you may have to raise this when submitting your rejection slip into our ballot. We would also welcome any further information which may support why you would want to run for this charity. For those who have already submitted your rejection slip, please let me know if you would also like to be considered for this additional place by providing this additional information”
