Access to Witham Leisure Centre for Thursday sessions

10 November 2017 - By Marc Underdown

The company which owns Witham Leisure Centre is introducing new security measures next week which will affect all users of the centre, including us. Having liaised with their management we have now found the best way forward for our use on Thursday evenings.

We will be given an access card for each current member of the club with their name on the back. I will be picking these up next week and will start to allocate them out. Your access card will grant you passage through the turnstiles between 19:30 and 21:00 on a Thursday only. You will therefore need to bring your access card with you for Thursday sessions if you are meeting at the leisure centre and then carry it with you if you are heading back for the stretches.

If you forget your card, you will have to ask at the reception desk and they will give you an entry ticket.

If someone is new to the club, they will need to follow the same procedure as above, but obviously we will look to apply for a permanent card if the person becomes a member.

The cards will not expire, but if you lose your card, the leisure centre will charge you £5 for a replacement card.

We anticipate that there may be some teething problems so please bear with us and them over the next few weeks.
