53-12 Cross Country Race 4 – Gosfield Sunday 10th December

Sunday 10th December – 53-12 League Race 4- Gosfield @ 10.45, aim to be there by 10am

These events are free to all WRC members.

All runners must wear club shirts/vests. Trail shoes or spikes recommended & spare shoes for afterwards. Please note that some of the main paths have become quite stony as the top dressing of sand has been eroded over the years. However, spikes will still be ok if runners keep to the edge of these paths where there is ample soft ground

The school hall is unavailable this year, meeting point is in the new sports pavilion which has toilets and changing rooms. Additional toilets will be available in the main building All kit should be left in your cars as there is limited space in the sports pavilion.

On Sunday please arrive by 10am and let me know you’ve arrived so I can add you onto the teamsheet.

 

Venue = Gosfield School, Halstead Road, Gosfield CO9 1PF

The course starts round the school before heading off into the woods, the course is different to the last couple of seasons, see attached route map.  HRR XC COURSE MAP 2017.bpdf

Enter the woods at point 1 and turn right. Then, at point 2, turn left and run anti-clockwise back to that point. This time go straight ahead and run clockwise back to that point. Then, go straight ahead and run anti-clockwise back to 1 where you exit the woods and run the 3/4 mile back to the finish. Don’t worry, it will be well marshalled!
