Debs writes "The next and final BBQ this summer will be at Naomi and Dave Emerick's house at Ranks Green. This is a lovely venue and past BBQs have been very enjoyable chilled out affairs. Croquet on the lawn is optional. Do try and make it.

Debs writes "Further to Stewart's message below, we don't actually have the equipment to organise any games! but if any of you have please bring it along e.g. rounders/cricket bat, balls or anything you like. There's plenty of room on the field behind Stewart's house and the grass has even been cut specially!

stewart writes "Just a reminder that the club bbq will be held at my place in Tye Green, Cressing this coming Saturday 7 August starting at 2pm.
It would be nice to see some of our many newer members there. Kids are welcome and I understand from Debs that there may be games on the field (?).

Bring your drink and anything meaty that you may want Johnny Kerr (head chef) to incinerate for you.

Debs writes "We now have a date for next year's presentation dinner which is again taking place at the popular venue of the Essex Golf & Country Club, Earls Colne. The dinner at the Essex is always a big success and we hope to see all of you there to carry on the tradition so PUT THE DATE IN YOUR DIARY TODAY – SATURDAY 29 JANUARY 2011!

Debs writes "Just a reminder that the first BBQ this summer is from 4.00 pm on Saturday 10 July at Karen and Mike Struthers'. For details of the location please see me, Mike or Karen at the Club. Everyone is welcome, just bring a chair, a bottle and some food for the barbie.
Stewart Waller has also kindly volunteered to host a BBQ on Saturday 7th August. Details of the programme (rumoured to include a rounders match) will be forthcoming. Again, everyone at the Club is welcome.

martynb writes " Easyjet have reduced their flights to one per day with costs also increasing significantly.
The return flight leaves Alicante at 11.10am which means we will have 3 days in Benidorm instead of the normal 4.
In order to cover increased costs I need an additional £30 per person. If the trip comes in under budget I will refund .
If you still wish to go please let me have your payment by Monday 28 June. Alternatively I will refund your £170.

Debs writes "Now that the BBQ season has begun several members have once again kindly volunteered to open their gardens to everyone at the club throughout the summer. First up are Karen and Mike Struthers on Saturday 10 July. Its the traditional format with everyone bringing something to sit on, something to drink and something to put on the barbie.
Karen and Mike are great hosts and if past experience is anything to go by this will be a really enjoyable event. The plan is to kick off in the late afternoon but watch this space for details and listen out at the club for information on the venue.
