lorraine writes "The senior results from the cross country at the Discovery Centre on Sunday are posted elsewhere but we also had a good turnout from the juniors.
Most of the rain held off for the juniors' event but it was still a hard race in daunting conditions. Chloe Beckett had an outstanding run as she skipped thought the mud to finish first Witham RC junior in 6th place overall, chased by Thomas Beard in 7th place. Michael McKeown led the next group of Witham runners home in 35th place, with a fast finishing Alex Waring in 41st place and Courtney Gordon in 49th position. Jack Dawson chose possibly the worst weather of the season to make his cross country debut and finished in a very creditable 50th place.
Well done to all of them - terrific effort!
