CLUB DINNER AND DANCE

martynb writes "A very enjoyable evening was spent at The Essex Golf and Country Club on Saturday where 100 or so members enjoyed an excellent three course meal followed by the 2009 Club Awards and plenty of dancing.
A special thanks must go to our special guest Jimmy Greaves who gave up his evening to present the trophies and make the presentation of cheques to The Helen Rollason Cancer Foundation and The Farleigh Hospice and who was accompanied by his wife Irene.
We all wish Jimmy a very Happy 70th Birthday for the 20th February. A big thankyou also to Dave and Naomi Emerick who made this possible.
The Roll of Honour letting you know who won what will appear on the website once the Awards have been made to those who were not in attendance on the evening.
Thanks to Claire for her organisation and to Andy who in addition to providing the music also picked out Penny's ticket in the raffle!"
