53-12 XC FIXTURE AT MARTLESHAM, IPSWICH
Posted on Friday, January 15 @ 17:57:36 GMT by frankadmin

Cross Country brigid writes "
The fourth race of the series will be hosted by Ipswich Jaffa on Sunday, January 24th at Martlesham.

Start times:
Junior race - 10.00 (1.5 miles)
Senior race - 10.45 (5.2 miles)

As always, black/gold club colours must be worn otherwise you will be disqualified.

The route is similar to last year but the start and finish are now located very close together meaning we will not run along the narrow finishing straight this time.

Both courses are mostly flat on tracks and footpaths. There will be signs and marshals warning the public of the race, and guiding runners.

PLEASE NOTE: IT IS 3/4 MILE FROM THE HALL TO THE START SO PLEASE ALLOW PLENTY OF TIME TO GET TO THE COURSE.

Place score sheets in the container at the finish as soon as you can after the race, identifying first 4 men scorers and first 2 women scorers only.  Results will be announced in the Community Hall around 12.30pm

Toilets, changing (no showers) and post-race refreshments are at the Martlesham Community Hall IP12 4PB.

Martlesham Community Hall is situated on the Felixstowe Road very close to the Tesco superstore. Turn off the A12 in to Anson Road. Go past the left turn to Tesco and take the next left into Felixstowe Road. The hall is on your left within 200 metres. There is parking at the hall and on the opposite side of Felixstowe Road but both have height restrictions of 2 metres. If this is likely to cause you a problem, let me know in advance.

We are still top of Pool B following a fantastic turnout at Gosfield. Come along and enjoy the fun and freedom of xc running. I hear there are STILL mince pies on offer aftewards!
